Štefan Boháček

Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of VÚPC a.s., Bratislava

In 1987, he graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. After graduating, he joined the VÚPC Bratislava. From 1993 to 1995, he worked on various domestic and foreign projects as a project manager. In 1995, he became the head of the Department of Automation and Chemical Engineering of the VÚPC. In 1997, he completed his doctoral studies at the FCHPT STU, defended his dissertation and received a doctorate in philosophy – PhD. At the beginning of 1997, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and appointed to the position of General Director of VÚPC a.s. Bratislava. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Development of the Wood, Furniture and Pulp and Paper Industry of the Slovak Republic, Vice-President of the Society of the Paper and Cellulose Industry and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry of the Slovak Republic. He is a member of the Board of CEPI (Member of the Board of the Confederation of European Paper Industries). He is a member of CEPI-ADG (CEPI Association Directors’ Group). He is a member of the Presidium of AZZZ. He is married and has two children.
