Ing. Aleš Ház, PhD. Is devoted to the field of study of degradation processes of lignocellulosic materials, conversion of lignin to valuable chemical compounds, isolation of extractive substances and their utilization. He has been working in the field of renewable sources and natural polymers since 2008. The primary focus of the research work was on thermal degradation of plant raw materials using analytical techniques such as TGA, GC / MS, py-GC / MS. During the doctoral study, this area was further specified for thermal degradation of lignins. During this period he received a scholarship of Ernst Mach on the basis of which he worked in Austria at the University of J. K. in Linz where under the leadership of prof. Schwarzinger was involved in the application of analytical pyrolysis. He is currently involved in the identification, application and acquisition of natural value-added substances

The most important outputs of the scientific research activity: 2 utility models, more than 120 papers of which original scientific papers in journals registered in CC (22), CA (14), more than 50 SCI citations. He was a successful co-solver of FP7 (1), VEGA (2), KEGA (1) and APVV (7) projects.
