Assoc prof. Ing. Iveta Čabalova, PhD. has been working at the Faculty of Wood Technology of the Technical University in Zvolen as Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies since 2013. In the field of research, she focuses on research into the structure and properties of wood during its thermal and chemical modification. Its research activity is also focused on chemical processing of wood, especially on paper production, research on the process of its aging and recycling. She is an expert in physico-chemical methods in the field of wood analysis. She is the author of a chapter in a foreign scientific monograph with a high response, several scientific monographs, university textbooks, scripts, work in databases CC, WOS, SCOPUS and other publications. She is a reviewer of manuscripts in major journals such as. Bioresources, Journal of Biotechnology, Wood Research, Key Engineering Materials, Acta Facultatis Technicae, a.i., reviewer of specialized book publications, scripts and scientific monographs, as well as APVV projects. She is a member of the Society of Paper and Pulp Industry (SPPC). He implements the scientific knowledge gained through cooperation with practice (Biocel Paskov-CZ, Fibertec Štětí-CZ, Mondi Štětí-CZ, Mondi SCP Ružomberok-SR) into the teaching process. She has been a student of Scientific and Resistance Activities (ŠVOČ) at the Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology of TU in Zvolen for 12 years. She is the organizer of ŠVOČ conferences and co-organizer of symposia, colloquiums and sports competitions. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, swimming and is the owner of a firearms license to hold weapons and ammunition for hunting purposes.
