Assoc. prof. Radko Tino, PhD. (FCHPT STU) mostly deals with surface treatment of natural polymeric materials with discharge plasma and characterization of surface properties of polymeric materials. He is the author of 17 reports on solved research tasks, 17 registered CC publications, 2 chapters in a foreign encyclopedia, for which more than 120 citations are currently registered. He is active as conference speaker, with number of invited and keynote lectures on top-class international conferences. He was the coordinator of the DURAWOOD project (GA no. 22962. Project FP7-Research for SMEs) for FCHPT STU. He is teaching topics relating to Renewable resources and materials, Chemical analysis of wood, Chemical processing of wood and wood products, Packagings and packaging materials and Biotechnological Polymers. He is also active in research and development of mass conservation technologies and his professional knowledge and experience are used in the preservation of cultural heritage and objects, where he is a member of the Advisory Council of Experts for the Slovak Unesco Commission.
