Project manager a patent expert | Pulp and Paper Research Institute, Bratislava

He has been working in the field of research of the first and the second generation biofuels since joining Pulp and Paper Research Institute in Bratislava in 2009. In years 2019-2022, he was the author and official principal investigator of the applied research project “BIOPREDEND”. He successfully completed his doctoral studies in the last year of the project, which was also an important achievement to his dissertation project. As part of it, he studied the processes of pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass in the production of the second-generation bioethanol at the Department of Wood, Pulp and Paper of Institute of Natural and Synthetic Polymers at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovak Republic). In the field of paper chemistry, he closely cooperates in the projects with companies in the pulp and paper industry – currently, cooperation with Mondi Štětí in the field of bleaching processes is underway. He is also engaged in research of the production of paper based on alternative fibers – his presentation will tell you more. He is also a patent expert at the PPRI and is a co-inventor and inventor of 16 patent applications submitted within the Slovak Republic, two utility models within the Slovak Republic, two international PCT applications and one international utility model. Patents have already been granted for five patent applications. In addition to application outputs, he is the author and co-author of approximately 100 publications and has an h-index of 11. He also holds the position of manager of quality at the PPRI.
