Complete professional activity of Assoc. dr. sc. Igor Majnaric is related to the scientific field printing and coating, analysis of printing substrates, printing inks and their interaction during the production of printed media. As I have completed all education curses related to printing technologies, Igor Majnaric currently engaged in the development and implementation of digital printing technologies in the graphics industry. Although classic imprinting technologies are still current, new NIP imaging technologies and their hybrids are increasingly being used.

As we are in the transition period, it is a very interesting transition from conventional printing techniques (offset, flexo, screen printing) to Inkjet and Electrophotography. Therefore, research trends in the application of NIP printing systems, printing inks, and printing substrates are currently actual. Their interaction has not been sufficiently investigated and thus the final properties of produced the prints (functional durability, mechanical properties, lightness ,…). This segment is of scientific interest for the Department of printing because it enables the realization of completely new (different) graphic products.
